Ideas we want to hear about

We consider original, well-shaped proposals about outdoor space, planting, materials, comfort and seasonal use. Strong pitches might compare two ways to arrange a small area, explain why a design choice changes how a space feels, or offer a thoughtful plan for a particular kind of outdoor setting. Keep the focus specific enough to develop without turning it into a product advert.

What to include

Briefly describe the central idea, who it will help and what a reader will understand or be able to decide after reading. Tell us why the subject suits Open Outdoor Living, outline the main points and disclose any relevant commercial interests. We value clear reasoning, a distinctive angle and an honest account of where an idea may not fit.
